Become a Member of the Women's Institute

How to Join

There are several ways to join Women's Institute: you can get involved as a Member of a WI Branch in your community, become an Associate Member or set up your own WI Branch.

Become a Branch Member

Become a Member of your local WI and have a powerful voice on local, national and international issues.

Branch Membership offers a wide range of opportunities, including monthly meetings, a variety of activities, our Home & Country ROSE Garden newsletter, the FWIO Facebook Group, monthly email updates and the opportunity to help identify & resolve needs in your own community.

To join or contact a local WI in your area, visit the Find a Branch section or contact us for assistance.

Become an Associate Member

If you are not able to attend regular meetings but would like to belong and support Women’s Institutes, you can join as an Associate Member.

This entitles you to our Home & Country ROSE Garden newsletter, monthly email updates, membership in the Federated Women's Institutes of Canada (FWIC), voting rights & the right to hold office at the District and Area levels.

For more information, contact us or complete an Associate Membership Application Form.

Start your own WI Branch

If there isn't a Branch near you and you are interested in becoming a Member, consider starting your own Branch. Perhaps you have friends who are looking to get involved and connect with other women in your community.

To get started, check out our Branching Out Guide and then contact us. We will put you in touch with a representative from your area.
