Wellington South District 100th Anniversary

In celebration of Wellington South District’s 100th Anniversary in May of 2002, nearly 100 Members and guests sat down to a roast beef dinner at the Puslinch Community Centre.

FWIO President Dianne Orr was in attendance along with the Mayor of Puslinch. All Past Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers were recognized with a flower, which made three beautiful bouquets. Each of the eight Branches in the District set up a display depicting their past accomplishments.

A spruce tree was planted at the Puslinch Community Garden, with a stone plaque, which reads Wellington South Women’s Institute, 1902-2002. The official tree planters were Betty Lambert, Lorraine Scot, Lyla Hayden and Edith Eedy.
