In September of 2005, Wellmans Women’s Institute celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a wonderful party at the Institute Hall.

Ninety-nine guests attended this lovely afternoon event, and they were entertained with live music. The guests were invited to view displays and various pictures, some of which dated back to 1905.

Branch President Donna Russett presented a condensed history of Wellmans WI and talked about the goals for the future. Following her presentation, the guests enjoyed an excellent barbeque and desserts of all kinds.

Everyone enjoyed the event; it was a great opportunity to meet old and new friends. The event ended at 5:30 pm when everyone left wishing the Branch all the best for the future, and congratulated them on their 100 years.
