Stoney Creek Charter Branch
The Stoney Creek Charter Branch was started in 1978 when the last member of the original 1897 Stoney Creek Branch passed. This branch preserves the memory, principles and ethos of First WI President Christina Smith, and founders Janet Lee and Erland Lee. When you join the Stoney Creek Charter Branch you gain access to the:
- Annual Charter meeting (in-person, and Virtual) in the 1st week of June.
- Home & Country (the new monthly E-Newsletter produced by the FWIO with contributions by members and branches. (Sample of Home & Country)
How is my $5 member fee used?
- $2 for the upkeep and maintenance of the Branch (used for outreach, marketing, supplies)
- $3 for the operating costs of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario housed at the Erland Lee (Museum) Home
An Associate Member is classified as belonging to the FWIO & FWIC Branch. They are Members who do not belong to a particular local Branch but would like to share in the exchange of information, support the organization and participate occasionally.
Upon completion of an application and payment of Fees, aa Associate Member:
a) holds membership in FWIO and FWIC;
b) receives provincial e-newsletter;
c) For the following District and Area fees may apply:
i) may attend District, Area and FWIO Annual Meetings, and Provincial, National and International Conferences;
ii) has voting rights at District and Area only if District and Area fees are paid;
iii) has the right to hold office at District and Area and Province.
Associate Members receive:
Provincial e-newsletter
Membership voting card (mailed out Annually)
Membership with FWIO, FWIC
Annual Fee: $60.00*
*this excludes Area and District fees which are paid to the Area and District in addition to the $60 annual FWIO fee.
