The Women's Institute was created in 1897 to make a space where women could learn - from one other and from expert speakers who travelled across Ontario delivering educational programs to improve health and the quality of life in homes and communities.

Our members shared their knowledge and passion with their communities. That sharing continues today - at in-person meetings through our branch network and in virtual meeting places.

Through our ROSE program - Reaching Out Sharing Information - branches plan, publicize and host public presentations on a wide range of topics of interest to individual communities. ROSE programs can be hands on sessions making table top decorations for a local seniors' home, how to presentations on sustainable gardening, or informational meetings on sex trafficking.

If you have a skill to share, or a need to know, we invite YOU to come and learn with us in a friendly inclusive environment.
